We’ve played thousands of weddings, private and corporate events, and over time we’ve been asked just about every question imaginable. Below you’ll find clear answers to the most common ones - from setup and timings to sound, song choices, and booking details.
If you have a question that isn’t covered here, just get in touch. We’re always happy to talk things through and make sure everything feels clear before you book.
Booking & Logistics
How far in advance should we book the band?
Most people book between 12–18 months ahead, especially for busy periods in the year (e.g. summer and Christmas). We do occasionally have last-minute availability, but the earlier you enquire, the better your chances of securing your date.
How far do you travel?
We perform all across the UK and occasionally abroad. UK Travel is factored into our quote, so there are no hidden costs.
How long do you need to set up?
We usually need around 60–90 minutes for load-in, setup, and soundcheck. If turnaround time is tight, we can coordinate with your venue or planner to make the process seamless.
Do you need anything from the venue?
We just need access to power sockets (standard 13A mains), enough space for the band setup, and somewhere to safely store our cases. For outdoor performances, we’ll need suitable cover from potential rain and direct sunlight.
Music & Performance
Can we choose the songs you play?
Yes — we encourage it. You can highlight songs from our repertoire that you love, and we’ll build the perfect set around them. We always read the room and adapt in the moment to keep the dancefloor full.
Will you learn our first dance?
If the song suits our setup, we’re more than happy to perform it live. If it doesn’t translate well acoustically, we’ll play your chosen track through our PA system before starting our first live set so the energy flows naturally into the evening.
See our guide on how to choose your first dance song
How long do you play for?
We perform for 120 minutes total. We like to split this into 2x 60 minute live sets with a break in between. We can adjust timings to suit your schedule and offer optional daytime sets for ceremonies or drinks receptions at weddings
Do you provide music between your live sets?
Yes. We play curated playlists through our PA between sets to keep the atmosphere going. You can curate your own playlist or use one of ours. We’re happy to guide you on how to choose playlists for your event.
How loud will the band be?
We always adapt to the venue and your guests. Our acoustic setup and advanced sound control mean we can work comfortably within noise limits while still keeping a lively, full sound. If your venue uses a sound limiter, you can read more about how they work and how we manage them here.
Practical Details
What happens if our timings run late?
It’s completely fine — most weddings and events do. We’re flexible and will adjust our set times to fit your evening. Nothing is lost; we just work with the flow of the night.
You can read more about how to manage your expectations for scheduling the day.
Does the venue need a licence or insurance for live music
Most venues already have this covered. We carry full Public Liability Insurance and PAT-tested equipment, which many venues ask for.
Do you bring all your own equipment?
Yes. We provide all our own professional instruments, PA system, and lighting.
What if my venue has a noise limiter?
We’ve played at countless venues with limiters and know how to handle them. Our setup allows us to control volume and frequency balance so the music still feels energetic without tripping the system.
If your venue uses a sound limiter, you can read more about how they work and how we manage them here.
Customisation & Add-Ons
Do you offer different band line-ups?
Yes. We offer several configurations to suit your space and budget. Each setup delivers the same polished sound, just tailored to your event size and energy.
If you’re not sure which setup is right for you, our guide to band line-ups explains how each configuration — from Trio to Five-Piece — shapes the sound and atmosphere of your event.
Can you perform during the drinks reception or ceremony at my wedding
Absolutely. We offer a Drinks Reception Add-On — relaxed, acoustic-style sets that work perfectly for that part of the day. We can also provide live music for your ceremony if you’d like.
Can we see you perform live before booking?
We occasionally perform publicly at our our residency at the Amex Lounge in the O2 Arena in London. Unfortunately you need a ticket to the main event in the stadium and to have booked into the Amex Lounge. Just let us know if you’re coming to the O2 and we’ll let you know if we’ll be there.
Pricing & Payment
How much does a wedding band cost?
Pricing depends on location, line-up, and timing, but we’re always transparent and all-inclusive. Send us an enquiry for your wedding or event and we’ll send a detailed quote based on your needs, with no hidden extras.
How do we confirm our booking?
After you’ve approved the quote and chosen your line-up, we’ll issue a clear, easy-to-follow contract and a deposit invoice to officially secure your date.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept and prefer manual bank transfer, as it avoids processing fees and keeps things simple.
However we understand that larger payments by bank transfer can sometimes be daunting. Therefor we also offer a Pay-by-Bank option on our invoices — a secure payment link powered by Stripe that allows you to pay directly from your online banking with just a few clicks. It’s fast, safe, and secure.
If you’d prefer to pay by card, that’s absolutely fine — we can facilitate this on request. Please note that card payments include processing fees.
All payment details are clearly outlined in your booking confirmation.
